What’s included in your swimming specific assessment?

  • Review of pertinent past medical history; including injuries, underlying conditions, barriers to participation
  • Functional movement screen; assessing range of motion (ROM), strength, balance, coordination,  and joint/neural mobility and how they may impact your swimming
  • Educate on individualized treatment strategies including form drills, exercises and training plan suggestions based on your swimming assessment.
  • Answer any swimming or fitness questions you have and set goals based on your assessment.

Why should you choose swimming specific PT over conventional PT?

Your physical therapist will not only be able to speak and understand the proper swimming terminology, but they will also be able to better direct you toward full function for what matters: performance in the water. Your PT will be able to examine, assess, diagnose, and help you come up with swimming specific goals with high-level expertise. You will be given swimming specific strength and mobility exercises to achieve your goals.
